Qimerioni - History of wine since 2012

The story of Qimerioni begins in 2012 in the village Chumlaki, located in the heart of Kakheti — a region where winemaking is not just a profession, but a way of life and a tradition.

The company is equipped with modern technologies, a laboratory, bottling equipment, stainless steel tanks, pneumatic presses and a complete temperature control system that ensures complete monitoring and analysis of the wine production process in accordance with international standards. The company operates according to a complete, closed production cycle — starting with the selection of grapes and ending with the release of the final product. From 2022 to the present, the production fully complies with the requirements of the ISO 22000:2018 standard, on the basis of which the organization holds an international certificate of the food safety management system. The company has also implemented the HACCP system. This allows Qimerioni to produce high quality wines of various types, including its own brands such as Chkera, Marula, Alaznuri, Anguri and Lile.

Qimerioni cellar produces high-quality Qvevri wines using traditional Georgian technology.

The Qimerioni Company owns 100 hectares of land on which the grape varieties Saperavi, Rkatsiteli, Mtsvane, Khihvi, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Muscat and Kisi are grown. The fertile soil of the Kakheti region gives us the opportunity to grow the best quality grapes for the production of high-quality wine, while preserving long-standing and unique Georgian traditions and using modern technologies.

Our approach is to protect the ecosystem, preserve the life of the soil and enhance the natural resilience of the vine. Respect for nature is part of our philosophy.

Our team's goal is not only to produce high quality wine, but also to introduce Georgian winemaking and culture to the world.
